The Green River Gorge is a incredibly beautiful and rugged place. Along with its incredible beauty is also danger. The Green River Gorge is very remote. Areas that can be accessible when the river is at low flow can be inaccessible and dangerous at higher flows. Certain areas are for experienced outdoor enthusiasts. The river should be run by expert level river for rafters and kayakers.
However there are many areas along the gorge that are accessible. Flaming Geyser, Kanasket, Jellum, Hanging Gardens, the Black Diamond Bridge Site, and east of Hwy 169 are all accessible by dirt road or trail. Also if you are intersted in rafting the Gorge you can contact a professional whitewater guide company.
