Free Spay and Neuter Clinic in La Manzanilla

Another great adventure on the Happy Coast. Laurel and I decided to spend 14 days this year instead of 9 days like last time. 9 days just wasn't enough.

Beautiful sun filled days, reading good books, swimming, boogie boarding, hiking, mt. biking, snorkeling, and meeting some of the locals made up our days. Then there was the beachside massage which is the best massage I've ever had.

We also met many of La Manz's dogs when we volunteered at their annual "Free Spay and Neuter Clinic". My job was to hold the puppy and keep him company. Not a bad job although they did try to talk me to taking one home. I knew my dogs would not be happy to have a new roomate so I declined, for now.

Below are photos journals of some of the adventures we had.

There is no better way to beat the Seattle winter blues then to go some place warm for a couple of weeks.

Blue Bay via Tanacatita

A yacht club resort and also a great camping area with a small resteraunt on the beach. Its where the Rio de Purificacion comes in to the bay.

Great way to see the coastline from La Manz to Tanacatita. We followed the backroads and single track.

These images hardly scratch the surface of our wonderful escape from a grey wet Seattle winter.

Sea Kayaking with Immersion Adventures

www.immersionadventures.com

We departed in kayaks from La Manzanilla and paddled to a secluded beach called La Manzanillita where we snorkeled over a fringe coral reef, had a snack, and beachcombed and relaxed. John, our guide, gave us a brief overview of coral reef ecosystems. Then we paddled back to La Manzanilla.Kayaking photos by Lisa Parsons and Immersion Adventures
