Well it was great to see everyone in regular clothes at the 2006 Annual BBTC Christmas Party. Lots of good food including lots of dessert to eat. Beer was provided by Fat Tire Brewery. Jon Kennedy has his new baby and wife with him. Hmm, probably not doing as much riding these days. Justin thought because he is staff that I couldn't take a photo of him drinking beer at the party. Ha, I'll bribe you later.
Later after Justin's "Secret beer drinking" he told us all about this year's accomplishments as well as present and future trail opportunities. Awards were given for outstanding volunteer work by differentl club members. Jon Kennedy also talked about the club. Then it was time for the traditional gift exchange.
Some of this year's presents were stretching the concept of Mt. biking related gifts for $10 or less. Someone brought a new concept in bike shorts. A stretchy black thong. Question. Do you wear it under or over the bike shorts or... as an alternative to bike shorts. Someone else also brough Ken and Barbie Surfer Barbie dolls (My Neice will love them). Next year I want to see Ken and Barbie Mt. Bikers. The overall theme for the night was "SOCKS". Red socks, blue socks, socks with a skull and crossbones, and Smart Wool socks. Jennifer, our new co-president was there and happy to get a new pair of red smart wool socks. The dreaded bike seat with the trailer hitch has retired and was not seen. I thought for a minute the gift that Tim Banning picked was the dreaded bike seat but it ended up being just what it said on the outside of the box "BEER GLASSES". What does beer have to do with mt. biking anyway (o:?
Thanks everyone for a great party. I had to leave early becuase its a long drive from Sandpoint Navel Base to Enumclaw. But, then again. Enumclaw is much closer to the trails.
