2007 Green River Clean-up a Success
The Green River Clean-up is an annual event where boaters and ground crews pick up garbage along the 12 mile Green River Gorge. This year was another great event even though the Army Corp wasn't generous in allowing increased flow for the clean-up.
Flows are an issue on this river as the demand for city of Tacoma municipal water threatens flows for salmon. The demand for more municipal water keeps increasing which means recreational boating is left high and dry.
